In general, I do not like extended plays; I'm more of an LP guy, but this set of songs is too irresistible to my sensibilities, so I tossed my bias to the side, temporarily. I really hope that their new full-length delves deeper into this kind of energy.

This album is something else. Among black metal, rarely does the mood of an album feel tailored to the depression and experience of an authentic, real human life; blasting Nordic winds and a glorious death at the gates of Valhalla are scenic, but don't truly relate. There is no short way to nail what makes it so extraordinary, but you'll be hearing a lot of doom, noise, rock, and black metal influence on this release. The trick might be that it's all at once. This is worth your time...
